December through February

Winter is what the sauna is for.

Four private cabins on 42 acres in Hocking Hills, Ohio. Each with its own sauna, cold plunge, hot tub, and a fire pit with the wood already stacked. The hills are at their quietest, and the waterfalls freeze.

The winter ritual

Heat, cold, fire, sleep.

Sauna, then snow.

Every cabin has its own sauna a few steps from the door. Sit until you can't, walk out into the cold, and do it again. In January this is the whole point of the place.

The cold plunge earns its name.

Filled and ready when you arrive. Thirty seconds in, a towel, and a fire. Nobody comes back from that the same.

Fire pit, wood included.

A stacked woodpile waits at every cabin. Clear winter nights in the hills are dark enough to see the Milky Way from the deck.

Frozen waterfalls, ten minutes away.

Ash Cave and Old Man's Cave freeze into columns of ice most winters. The gorges are quieter than any other season, and the annual Winter Hike fills a single Saturday in January.

The practical part

Built for the cold.

Heated cabins with full kitchens

Cook in, or stock the fridge before you arrive.

Hot tub at every cabin

Outdoors, under the trees, running all winter.

EV charging on site

Level 2 at every cabin; Tesla connector at Rock.

Pets welcome

Trails start at the door, so does the mud.
